Two ring tests with up to 10 participating European laboratories will be organised.
The goal of such exercises is to provide external assessment of the laboratories’ performance, so as to improve the quality of analytical results. The exercises will be designed, test samples prepared, measurements will be calibrated and results will be validated by the ISO-FOOD senior research staff. ISO-FOOD will also evaluate and communicate the final results. Following exercises are planned:
- Element speciation in foodstuffs (2017)
- Stable isotopes of C, N and O in foodstuffs (2018)
